What to Wear

I am a huge fanatic of style and fashion, which one of the many reasons I feel that what you wear in your photos is so important. When deciding what to wear for your session, try to avoid mixing patterns. If you're a lover of patterns (rather than stand alone colors), restrict your pattern to one item of clothing or choose solid colors for the rest of your outfit. Ex. patterned sweater, solid tank & pants

Families - (3+ persons) It's can be nice to have a few different patterns (though still only one per person) Family sessions should limit their patterns to 2 members of the party.

Seniors - Think personality. You absolutely want to show off your personality through your outfit choices but limit your accessories. If you're going to wear a statement necklace, dial back on the dangly earrings and chunky bracelets. It's all about balancing everything out. When in doubt, pick my brain, ask me about what you have in mind. I want your photos to be stunning just as much as you do! Here are a few examples of 'statement necklaces' for reference...
The "Heels" Debate - I have always felt that heels are one of the 5'7 and under girls best assets, that being said, always bring a pair of flats to your shoot as well. Depending on the location/locations, we may be doing a bit of walking in a field, stream etc. So always be prepared, I speak from personal experience on this, trust me!

As I said previously, I am a huge fashion fanatic and if you're anything like me you do so much better with visuals. So here are a few examples of outfits (based on some seriously stylish ladies) that flatter, create a beautiful silhouette, show personality and balance. Keep in mind that it is your choice what you wear for your photo session, these are just personal style choices.

A stylish mid-summer ensemble. This look is ideal for a grassy field location. Comfortable, care free and you can create 3 different looks just by removing pieces.
This type of look would be ideal for a city/architectural location. Clean lines, blue pops of color and extremely simple and chic. A great autumn look.
These are all great looks for the fall/winter. Try to pick patterns/textures/colors that compliment each other.
Another classy summer look. Pick 2 or 3 colors that you would like to mix and go with it.
